You bring the specification, or you choose one of our 147 tooled models. We build it and it ships under your brand. The design decisions are yours.
OEM / ODM
Your logo, your shell, your box
Three levels of customisation, with the prices printed. Most buyers only need the first one, and it costs nothing but the artwork.
Shenzhen Sunning Tension customises at three levels: a printed logo on one of 147 already-tooled models at no tooling cost, a new shell mould from USD 160 in PVC soft rubber, USD 500 in metal or USD 1,600 in ABS plastic, and custom packaging at a USD 320 setup charge that is waived on volume.
OEM and ODM, defined once
Most buyers use the two words interchangeably, and it rarely matters — but it changes who does the engineering and who owns the drawing.
We design and engineer the product as well — shape, board, coil, protection, packaging — and it still ships under your brand. Most gift and promotional projects are this, whatever they are called in the first email.
Either way, the mould, the boards and the assembly are ours, which is why a change request is a schedule question rather than a negotiation with somebody else's factory.
What customisation costs
A printed logo on a model that is already tooled carries no tooling cost and starts at a few dozen pieces; a shell mould of your own starts at USD 160 in PVC and about five working days.
| Level | What it is | Tooling cost | MOQ | Lead time |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Logo | Your logo, artwork or slogan printed on a model that is already tooled, in one colour or full colour. Artwork setup is free. | None | From a few dozen pieces | Standard production time |
| Shell tooling | A shape that is yours, cut in our own mould shop. | PVC from USD 160Metal from USD 500ABS from USD 1,600 | PVC 500Metal 3,000ABS 5,000 | PVC ~5 daysMetal ~12 daysABS ~15 days, before production starts |
| Packaging | Your box, your insert, your barcode. | USD 320 setup, waived on large quantities | 500 pieces | Standard production time |
Those minimum orders belong to the mould, not to the catalogue: an already-tooled model starts at 20 pieces. And tooling time comes before production time, so a new ABS shell is about fifteen working days plus the production lead time, not fifteen in total.
Ask before you pay for a mould
The mould rack holds hundreds of existing shapes, and 147 of the models cut from them are published in this catalogue with their specifications, minimum orders and price bands.
Choosing one of those means no tooling cost, no tooling lead time, and a shape that has already been through somebody else's production run and somebody else's returns. It is the single largest saving available on a first order, and it is the reason the catalogue is on this website at all.
So send the photograph or the sketch before you budget for tooling. If we have it, you will know within a day.
Choosing one of Sunning Tension's 147 tooled models removes both the tooling cost — USD 160 to USD 1,600 — and the 5 to 15 working days of tooling lead time from a first order.
Your project will not appear on this page
Every model in this catalogue was built for another company. Every one of them is shown without its customer's name, artwork or packaging, and there is no client list anywhere on this website.
That is the same undertaking we are making to you. Send an NDA with your first email and it is signed before we quote.
Drawings and artwork go to Miss Lyn and to the engineer who quotes them. They are not published, not shown to another customer, and not used to develop a product of our own — we do not have a brand to develop one for.
That last sentence is the one advantage a factory with its own brand can never offer you: we are not on the shelf beside you, and we never will be.
How a custom order actually runs
Five steps, with the thing that usually delays each one named beside it.
Enquiry
Send the model or the shape, the quantity, the destination country and your target landed cost. A quotation comes back within one working day, with an ex-works price, a lead time and a packing size.
Missing quantity — a price without a quantity is a guess.
Sample
A sample of the tooled model, or a printed sample carrying your artwork, so the colour and the logo position are agreed on a physical object rather than on a screen.
Artwork supplied as a photograph instead of vector files.
Tooling, if you need it
The mould is cut — PVC about 5 working days, metal about 12, ABS about 15 — and a first article comes off it for your approval.
Approval of the T1 sample. It is your decision and it is on your clock.
Production
5 to 30 working days depending on the model and the quantity; most models in this catalogue quote 5 to 15. First-article confirmation before the batch runs, then in-process inspection.
A component with a long lead time, which is why the enquiry stage asks for the quantity.
Inspection and shipment
Finished-goods inspection, then packing. Your inspector or a third-party body is welcome before the container is sealed.
Booking the inspection late.
Send the specification
Model or shape, quantity, destination country, target landed cost, and whether you need your logo on it. That is enough for a real quotation, and it comes back within one working day.
